James W. Lancaster

Principal

James Lancaster began his studies in Civil Engineering at the University of Cincinnati. James earned a Bachelors of Architecture from the University of Kentucky and a Masters of Architecture from Columbia University, with a specialty in Urban Design.

He began his distinguished career working for various firms in New York City before he moved to Connecticut and formed his own company in 1981. Among the companies he has been associated with are Alexander Kouzmanoff and Associates in New York City, Venturi and Rauch in Philadelphia, PA, and Collins Development Corporation in Stamford, CT.

Holding licenses in both New York and Connecticut, James is further certified with the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB). He is an active member of both the national and Connecticut chapters of the American Institute of Architects (AIA). As a proud member of the Connecticut Green Building Council (CTGBC), he has been developing his expertise in Green design and building practices. James views each new project as an opportunity to use environmentally friendly materials and energy efficient mechanical systems, lighting, and appliances.
